Featured Benefits
Group Medical Insurance
At Orlando Drum, we offer a health and dental insurance benefit (group plan) to employees who normally work at least 25 hours per week* and their families. Health insurance becomes effective on the 90th day of employment, provided you have enrolled. If you are interested in this benefit, please talk with your manager prior to completing 30 days of service to complete the necessary forms. If you do not elect group insurance when you are first eligible, under most circumstances, you will have to wait until our annual open enrollment.
Orlando Drum currently pays a portion of the cost for group insurance for eligible employees. The cost for dependent coverage and the balance of the cost for your coverage will be deducted from your paycheck on a pretax basis each pay period.
Health insurance for yourself and any dependents ends on the last day of your active employment. Also, status changes (for example, if you get divorced or legally separated, or if one of your dependents ceases to be eligible for coverage under our group plan) can affect your health insurance coverage. If you and/or your dependents no longer qualify for coverage under the Orlando Drum’s group insurance plan, you and/or your covered dependents may continue coverage under the provision of COBRA. You will be given the details of this option should it become necessary.
Supplemental Insurance
Orlando Drum is proud to offer employees that hold positions classified as “full-time regular” the benefit of short and long-term disability insurance coverage as well as term life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance. This coverage is paid for entirely by the company and becomes effective on the 90th day of employment.
If you are eligible for supplemental insurance benefits, your manager will provide you with enrollment information to receive the coverage. If you do not elect coverage prior to the date you are eligible, you must wait for our annual open enrollment.
Orlando Drum 401(k) Program
Orlando Drum is pleased to offer a 401(k) savings program! This benefit provides eligible employees with an opportunity to set aside part of their income for retirement on a pretax basis. After completing 12 continuous months of employment with Orlando Drum, during which at least 1000 hours are worked, employees who are at least 21 years old are eligible to enroll in this savings plan. Enrollment typically occurs on the first day of the new calendar year after reaching eligibility, but not later than 6 months upon becoming eligible. Please see your manager for more information.
At Orlando Drum, we may also match your contributions depending on the profitability of the company. The value of your account will depend on a number of factors, such as how long you have been a member of the plan, how much you have contributed, and investment gains. You are always 100% vested in your contributions.
